I had my first visit to a chiropractor this morning, and it was incredible! She popped my back and neck into place, and I feel like a new woman.
I was honestly afraid to go, since I had never been to a chiropractor before, but my OB said it was completely safe. And I was looking for something to take care of the pain. Although the doc gave me some pregnancy safe pain killers, I thought a little back popping was better than pill popping!
And I'm so glad I went. I go back on Monday to see if I will need continuous readjustments for the duration of my pregnancy, or if setting things into place this one time has done the trick.

Twenty-Nine Weeks and Counting
How far along? 29 weeks 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: +4 since last dr. visit/ +20 total
Maternity clothes? Yes, I got some new maternity clothes, including some new shower dresses!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I have added yet another pee to my nightly routine, to occur right after I get comfortable of course
Best moment this week: Claire's first baby shower and hearing her heartbeat again (164 bpm)
Movement: Yes, and I was counting her kicks but the doc said she was SO active that I really didn't need to worry about that anymore
Food cravings: fruit and bar-b-que
Gender: It's a GIRL!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Still flat but probably will pop out any day
What I miss: sushi
What I am looking forward to: Going to the chiropractor tomorrow and Tiffani's shower on Saturday!
Milestones: Doc said I can be induced as early as October 12th (so weird that this could be her birthday!)

Claire's First Baby Shower
Thi spast Sunday, four of my best friends threw Luke and I (and Claire) a wonderful baby shower! My mom and dad flew in town and Luke's parents drove us as well. Here are just a few pics.

The lovely hostesses

Maybe my favorite gift- Claire will actually be a ZTA double legacy!

And I am such a sucker for monogramming (thanks Laura!)

This is a baby bonnet from my mother and father-in-law that turns into a hankerchief for her wedding day... so cute!

The cutest thing in the world- baby Keds! And an adorable dress and sweater from my dear friend Katie.

And some cute outfits for next summer!

Everything was wonderful, and we are so ready for Claire to make her grand entrance!

New Pic of Claire's Nursery
Caris & Jeff's Wedding
We had a great time seeing old friends when Caris & Jeff tied the knot. Amazingly, I have no pictures of the bride and groom, but a good time was had by all.
According to Robert, eating watermelon in large quantities has the same effect as Viagra. Maybe he didn't notice, we have passed that point.

Melissa, Me and Anna

Me and my wonderful husband, who held the umbrella over us as we stood in the rain during the 40 minute ceremony... He is simply the best! And might I add, I am starting to carry this child in my face- nice, huh?
