Wonderful Time with Bella
Yes- you read it right! We did get to see Bella from Wednesday until Sunday, and we had a BLAST! We had tea parties, a slumber party with Grandmomma, a day at Oak Mountain State Park, and a trip to Alabama Adventure. Momma Gigi and Daddy are pretty tired from all that fun, but this is just a taste of the good times we will have with her when she comes for the whole summer.

Grandmomma with her three grandchildren, Bella, Camille, and Baby Liam...

Bella's favorite place to be... on Daddy's shoulders. This is at the Oak Mountain State Park Petting Zoo.

And one from church...

And from Alabama Adventure... The left is on the children's roller coaster and the right is on the Wild River Gorge with Daddy and Uncle John (Momma Gigi gets to stand in line and take pictures since roller coasters are not exactly recommended during pregnancy)

And I am still working on that 15 week bump picture... But I'm alnost done catching up.

Fourteen Week Belly Pic
Baby M at 15 Weeks
Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.
Easter... Two Weeks Late
So I know I've been really slacking in the blog department, and the more I talk to famikly and friends I realized that people really read this! So here is my best attempt at chatching up...
We spent a wonderful Easter weekend in Atlanta. It was great to see mom and dad, my bother Jay and Grace, and dad's side of the family.
Here's a great shot of the family...

And one of Dad and Grandma... And Luke and I

And this one from Easter Sunday (this is the 13 week bump)

It's been a while I know...
But we have been super busy! Easter last weekend in Atlanta with dad's side of the family and hten Knoxville this weekend with Luke's family for the Orange & White game... I am whipped! I could use a weekend off!
I left my camera in Atlanta last weekend, so I didn't get to post those pictures or take a belly pic. My sweet sister-in-law (I should specifiy Bethany, since I have three) took some pictures last week when she came to visit Bella so I'll post those asap.
And yes, we did get to see Bella! It was wonderful! It had been nearly four months since they moved to Hawaii and since we've seen her. She is so grown up! She met her new cousin Liam and was great with him. We told her about the baby, and she was indifferent. I asked her if she was happy or sad, and she said "I don't know yet." So we'll see...

Here's what Baby M is up to these days...
Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

12.5 Week Belly Pic
I know I am late posting a weekly picture of my ever-growing self, but I actually look cute today since we are going out to dinner with some friends tonight, so I will try to take a pic and post tomorrow. Luke still says I am "sticking it out," but since the only pair of pants I can wear without a BellaBand are my cotton gouchos, I can assure you that I am growing a baby- not sticking it out.
Easter Vacation
We are super excited about seeing my dad's side of the family this weekend in our trip to Atlanta fro Easter. I haven't seen my parents or my grandmother since we told them we were pregnant and all the cousins say they are excited about rubbing my belly. This is a particularly crazy side of my family. Mom actually calls them the "out-laws" rather than the in-laws! I know a good time will be had by all, and I only wish I could partake in the partying that I am sure will ensue.

Twevle Weeks and Counting
How far along? 12 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: +9 but I hear thin people gain more weight so I'm okay with being above the average
Maternity clothes? I bought a BellaBand yesterday and it is sweet relief
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Yes, thanks to the Darvocet doc gave me for the back pain, but I am having trouble getting up in the am so we'll see how long I can keep that up.
Best moment this week: Seeing the baby again at the ultrasound last Friday due to back pain
Movement: Not that I can feel, but the baby was moving Friday when I had an ultrasound
Food cravings: Nothing new, but I have not really been that hungry lately, wierd I know.
Gender: Since the hb was 162 bpm last Friday, I am thinking girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Still in for a while
What I miss: Sleeping late- I seem to wake up on Saturdays and can't sleep late anymore
What I am looking forward to: Easter this weekend with my dad's family!
Weekly Wisdom: Even if everyone else says your symptoms are normal (my bad back pain) it doesn't make you feel better until the doctor tells you everything is okay with the baby. Listen to your body, not other people.
Milestones: Making it to the SECOND TRIMESTER!

We made it to the Second Trimester!
According to thebump.com, baby is the size of a plum.
As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of baby's systems are fully formed.

Bad Back Pain = Doctor Visit = Ultrasound!
So since Wednesday night, I've had some pretty bad lower back pain. It started as real sharp pain that didn't last long, just a sec, and then progressed to constant pain all across my lower back. I called the doctor and he wanted me to come in. So I started freaking out like something was wrong with the baby. He said that while lower back pain is not that common for pregnant women, he thinks mine is stress induced.
Just to make sure, he did and ultrasound to make sure Baby McGlothin was A-OK. And the baby is great. Healthy heartbeat at 162 bpm, but no guesses at gender yet.

In this last one, you can see the fingers! Crazy how much the baby has grown in three weeks.

11 Week Picture
Here is the belly (still all bloat) at 11 weeks 4 days.

I'm also going to try and post my letters to the baby- if I can type them out without turning into a total wreck. We feel such a connection already and have so much to say (like, I am mentally preparing the chores for you to do since you made me throw up popcorn- which is pretty painful, just think about it).
My job will hopefully be more certain come this week when I have a serious "sit down" with the boss man. Please continue to pray for us. We love you!
