Busy day to hit the six month mark!

So today is three months from my due date! Crazy to think we are six months along!

Luke and I woke up very early this morning to meet our small group at church for a work day at the Alabama Youth Home in Westover, Alabama. It is actually two homes that house 18 young men between 13 and 18 years old. These are not bad kids, they are great kids with bad parents.

We were able to serve them with new doors and a new coat of paint in their great room. One of our group members was also able to repair their air conditioning, which was a blessing in this hot July heat!

Then we enjoyed a bar-b-que lunch followed by some basketball and frisbee golf and a short devotional time. Luke really connected with some of the boys and plans to return for a basketball rematch and to share some of the many movies in our collection. It was a hot and busy day but a wonderful investment in the Kingdom of God.
